Parallel shaft reducer is the most common one used that has a low reduction gear ratio but a high transfer capability. Input shaft and out shaft are placed parallel so it is called a parallel shaft reducer, Used gear is the spur gear and helical gear. In terms of noise and vibration, the helical gear is better but it could have a problem to be happened a thrust to the axial, so to compensation for this, it is used double helical gear or herringbone gear.
